Pants & Shorts on Litbuy: Waist, Length and Fabric Behaviour
Short answer: bottoms are a measurement game — get the waist and inseam right off the chart, then check the fabric behaves the way the fit needs it to. More returns happen here from sizing than from defects, so the tape measure is your best friend before you order through Litbuy.
Never trust the size letter on pants. Chinese sizing runs slim and often short in the leg, and cuts vary between cargos, denim, sweatpants and tailored trousers. Do this every time:
- Measure a pair you already own that fits well — flat waist, inseam, thigh and leg opening in centimetres — and match those to the listing chart.
- Watch the rise; a low or high rise changes the fit as much as the waist number.
- For tapered or slim styles, check the thigh and leg opening, not just the waist, or you'll get pairs that button up but bind.
Fabric changes how a bottom sits. Denim should look dense and structured in QC photos, with even wash fades that match the listing; a good batch shows clean, consistent distressing rather than smeared or random abrasion. Sweatpants and cargos want a heavier fleece or twill so they don't cling — thin, papery fabric is the tell of a rougher version. Nylon shorts and track pants should read crisp. Cotton-heavy pieces can shrink slightly in the leg, so cold wash and hang dry.
At QC, look at the parts that fail on bottoms: the stitching along stress seams and the crotch, the zipper and button or drawstring hardware, belt loops sewn straight, and — on cargos — that pockets are even and lie flat. On denim, check the fade and any factory distressing match the photos you bought from. Ask your Litbuy QC note to capture the waistband hardware and any print or embroidery on the leg square-on.
